TAX LIE

 
Everyone has heard the media and City Officials tout ad nauseum about Samanta Roy Institute of Science and Technology (SIST)’s failure to pay taxes.  Print and television media have flashed figure after figure of taxes that were allegedly owed by SIST.  In fact, SIST’s tax status has been in the headlines time after time.  Step back for a second and ask yourself some logical questions.  In all your years, have the figures that someone owes in taxes ever been the feature story of television programs or made headlines in the newspapers?  Is SIST the only one that owes taxes around here?  We all know the answers to those questions, so what is the real story behind the tax issue?

Throughout the years, Shawano City officials, and in particular Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt, have done everything possible to destroy our businesses, shut us down, and hurt us financially.  One of the ways the City has been able to do that is by increasing our taxes and abusing their licensure power.  In the past several years, the City of Shawano, at Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s direction, has created rules and laws which only apply to us, with the sole purpose of preventing us from getting our licenses.  The rules about getting licenses change nearly daily for our businesses.

We operate a number of businesses in Shawano, Wisconsin for which the City requires that we maintain certain licenses.  Under the guise of saying that we owed taxes, the City chose not renew our licenses on the renewal date.  We were forced to stop selling items which required a license.  For nearly nine months, we attempted to pay those taxes and obtain our licenses. Since the beginning of December, we had intensified our efforts to pay the taxes so we could obtain our licenses before the holidays and the new year.  Shawano City officials, namely Marlene Brath, Clerk/Treasurer, and Tim Schmid, City Attorney, gave us one excuse after another for why they could not accept payment and issue our licenses.  Obviously, they were working at Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s direction.

For two weeks, our attorney went to the City Hall repeatedly, sent countless emails, and made countless phone calls to get the amount of taxes that needed to be paid in order for us to receive our licenses.  In compliance with Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s directive, Marlene Brath spent the first two weeks pretending to be senile and feigning to be calculating the figure.  Every time our attorney called, day after day she would have to repeat our request to Marlene Brath.  Marlene Brath would slowly repeat the request back and then produce figures for something totally different.  After it had become apparent to Marlene Brath that her attempts to stall matters were becoming transparent, she moved on to her next ruse.  So, for the next week, Marlene Brath claimed that she was waiting for a response from City Attorney Tim Schmid about “something”.  Our attorney was bounced back and forth between Marlene Brath and Tim Schmid the whole week.  Of course, both Tim Schmid and Marlene Brath were working together to fulfill Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s edict to ensure that we do not receive our licenses.  They both refused to tell us what the mysterious “something” was that they had been going back and forth about.  Nearly a month passed, and we still had not been allowed to pay our taxes and obtain our licenses.

Shawano City officials knew that it was it was nearing the end of the yearand did not want us to have our licenses in time to make any money during the holiday season.  The City’s whole goal is to keep us from making  money and drive us out of business so that they can steal our properties and businesses for pennies on the dollar and Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt can fulfill her vow to drive SIST and its Indian President, the “dot head” and “swamp nigger”, out of Shawano.  The City was also intentionally delaying matters so they could continue to blow the horn to the Court and to the public through their controlled media that we do not pay taxes.  They also were trying to kill time so that we would not be able to pay the taxes before the end of the year.  If we were not allowed to pay before the end of the year, then on January 1, 2010, they could add many more thousands of dollars in interest and penalties and it would just be one more way to hurt us financially.  We had been ready for months to pay the taxes.

Finally, SIST could not wait any longer, knowing Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt had a plan to stall and allow enough days to pass so that thousands more in penalties and interest could be added.  On December 29, 2009, SIST paid its taxes under protest.  The media at Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s direction were very particular to mention the fact that the taxes were paid in cash but none of them ever mentioned that the taxes were paid under protest.  As usual, the media continued their history of blasting Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s propaganda.  No matter what SIST does they are always wrong.

Every program presented a jaded, one-sided view of the issue and never presented the other side of the story.  Why did SIST have to pay nearly $500,000 in cash?  If we had paid by check, Marlene Brath, at Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s direction, would have said your checks are no good so they would have to put an indefinite hold on the check; again  passing enough days so they would been able to add many more thousands in penalties and interest. Then, they would have obtained our banking information, called  the bank, and told them to close our accounts.  If we would have given a cashier’s check, they would have put a hold on that as well, because of “all the fraud that is happening these days”.  If we would have paid by wire, they would have flatly denied receiving it.  So, what options did we have?

Lou Hillman of Fox11 from Green Bay was very particular to say that SIST paid in cash, but did he ever think to tell why?  Did he say anything about the tax flyer that was distributed?  No, because that would look bad on him and the City and break his vow to protect Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt.  Did he tell the public that, at Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s order, the beer license for the Kiryat hotel was not approved, despite that fact that all the taxes were paid?  But when Doug Knope or Tony Zielinski need licenses, it can be done at the drop of a hat.

Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt started this cash game in 2006, to make it as difficult as possible for us to pay $250,000 in taxes.  We begged and pleaded to be allowed to pay our taxes by wire or cashier’s check.  Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt flatly refused; actual greenbacks were the only method she would allow.  Our attorneys, bankers, accountants, and other professionals called for three weeks trying to make some other payment arrangements, but Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt was stubborn.  The former bank teller, now Mayor, knew that no bank has $250,000 in cash to be able to give to one customer.  So, she was successful in killing three weeks while we waited for the bank to get all the cash we needed.  She was so triumphant that she started the same game at Shawano Municipal Utilities.  Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt has demanded that we pay our utility bills in cash, despite the fact that all of our utility bills were current.  What was the reason?  It was easier for them to steal.  All the clerk at the Utility counter has to do is drop some cash and then tell us that our payment is short.  What can we do?

Trying to coordinate a payment in cash  to Shawano Clerk Marlene Brath was quite a spectacle.  Each bill was paid individually with exact change.  In the middle of counting the money for a $300 tax bill, Marlene Brath would walk away from the desk carrying the money, chat with some others in the office, come back, and by that time she had forgotten where she was in counting.  Then she would start counting again, leave part of the money on the counter, carry one handful with her, look over someone else’s shoulder, and in the process set the money on their desk, come back and be at a total loss for what happened to the money from the envelope.  Every fifteen minutes, Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt would walk six inches away from SIST representative paying the bills and signal to Marlene Brath to meet her in the bathroom.  Apparently, Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt “forgot” she was scared of the representative.  Then, Marlene Brath would have to escape out the back door to go into the bathroom to talk to Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt.  Meanwhile, there was a constant flurry of activity as the Shawano Police Commissioner and City Administrator Stadler went in and out of Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s office every time she came back from the bathroom.  It took four hours to pay the City taxes.

Now, despite the fact that all the taxes were paid, the City still refuses to give us our liquor license for the Kiryat Hotel.  But, Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt can call an emergency meeting on a Friday afternoon, September 24, 2006, to illegally transfer a liquor license from Northern Lights Tavern to the Gathering.  After the emergency meeting, Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt openly said “It’s a wonderful thing that this business is going to remain open.  We certainly wanted to do what we can to keep it open”.  When Fire Inspector Jeff Zimmerman opened his pizza shop and needed a liquor license, all he had to do was walk into the City Hall and ten minutes, walk out with his license and a smile.  Since Doug Knope is Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s right-hand man, it was no problem.  Three and one half weeks later, the fire inspector extinguished the lights in his shop because no one wanted to buy pizza from the fireman.

That is not the way Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt, with her personal racial vendetta, looks at us.  No other business in Shawano has ever had to go through what we have had to go through and are continuing to go through to try to get our licenses.  When we purchased the Kiryat Hotel, formerly Best Western, Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt through Marlene Brath, unbeknownst to us stealthily contacted the prior owner and told him to revoke his liquor license.  As a result, rather than the license being transferred like would have been normal procedure, we were without a license. Shortly thereafter, we were cited for operating without a license, and went through endless problems to get the license back.  Our attorney spent at least 60 hours trying to get the City to respond.  Our attorney even spent days sitting in Marlene Brath’s and Tim Schmid’s offices trying to get the matter resolved.  We had been waiting months for even a $5 license to be able to sell soda. Then, why can’t they give the Kiryat its’ liquor license?  If they do, it will make money and that will defeat their purpose.

Using the Chamber of Commerce, Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt openly campaigns against our businesses.  Whenever people call the Chamber of Commerce inquiring about the Kiryat Hotel, they are told the hotel is owned by an Indian cult so not to go there, that the hotel is closed, that they were finally successful in shutting the hotel down, or that they have never heard of the hotel.  As part of their plan to close the hotel doors, Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt, through her agents, has constantly been circulating rumors that the hotel is closed.

By playing the common race and religion card, the Shawano City officials, and in particular Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt, have gotten the local media to injure, defame, and slander our businesses.  Outrageous and unconscionable baseless allegations have been lodged against SIST and its President.  This propaganda has also been passed along to a website hosted by their “hired gun”, Rick Ross, and spread around the globe.  Just like Hitler used the media against the Jews, Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt has been using the media to saturate the area with negative propaganda against our President, personnel, and businesses.

Where can we go from here?  Shall we go to the media?  But, like the days of Hitler, the media are all working hand-in-hand in conspiracy with Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt against this man from India and his business under the color of freedom of press.  Every word we say will be twisted and framed for their gain or benefit.  So, by going to the media, we will be in a worse place than before we went to talk to them.  They are working in conspiracy with Shawano City officials, and in particular Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt, as if there is no law or regulation to control them.  Can we get any justice?

Where is the media anyway?  They are present to air or write story after story about how much is allegedly owed to the City, but where are they when it is time to say that the money was paid under protest or why the money was paid in cash?  In 2006, the media justified the fact that the City was requiring that we pay the taxes in cash.  Now they criticize the fact that we paid in cash.  Due to their common race and religion, the local media has decided to support Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt in her commission of hate crimes against someone different.  Reporter Lou Hillman of Fox11 and Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s agents parade back and forth in front of SIST headquarters and openly make statements expressing disappointment that we have not been murdered yet!

In complete violation of FCC rules, the media, Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt, and their churches have used the local media websites, including Fox11’s, to post death threats against the lives of SIST personnel such as these:

Someone just needs to take them (SIST) out!!!! Enough is enough. Nothing a few stray bullets from some nearby deer hunters couldn’t manage.

I sure hope he gets the death penalty! TO THE GALLOWS!

When is Lou Hillman going to do his job and expose his friend Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt?  What does the outside world think of the present-day American media?  All they can print is vomit and trash which makes it blatantly clear for the world to see they are nothing more than ignoramus bigots, like media during the days of Hitler.  In this day and age of globalism, the low-minded local media, at Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt’s direction, are propagating racial hatred and discrimination.

At the same time, these very same officials and media are involved through their churches in sending missionaries all over the world.  The people in those countries need to hear about the racist nature of Shawano City officials, in particular Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt, the media, and their religions.  Those countries need to send those missionaries home.  For years, Shawano City officials, in particular Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt, through their like-mindedly chauvinistic media, have blatantly expressed their racism and xenophobia.  If these Shawano City officials, in particular Shawano Mayor Lorna Marquardt, cannot treat this man from India fairly, they have no right to send their emissaries to other countries to exercise their racial discrimination against the innocent peoples of other lands.  The entire world suffers from the horrors and oppression of the religion of Shawano City officials.  Throughout the centuries, their dirty religion has been used to decimate civilizations, destabilize governments, incite racial tensions, enslave peoples of other races, and strip the wealth of other lands.  While the dirty works of this religion continue around the globe, it also continues right here in Shawano, Wisconsin the city where a person’s race, religion and affiliation determine their right to existence.
