As a young person watching this international drama unfold there are times when I cannot believe what my government is doing. I am not an expert on foreign relations or diplomacy but to not expect some sort of retaliation for all the poking and prodding the US is doing would be shocking.
In recent news Hillary Clinton was quoted as saying,
“Now if this sounds familiar, it’s what Hitler did back in the 30s,” she said. “All the Germans that were … the ethnic Germans, the Germans by ancestry who were in places like Czechoslovakia and Romania and other places, Hitler kept saying they’re not being treated right. I must go and protect my people and that’s what’s gotten everybody so nervous.”
This is the pot calling the kettle black. It was after WWII that the US government brought the Nazis’s to this country! Racial and minority tensions are still a problem in the country that believes itself to be the ‘greatest country on earth’. Talk about a narcissistic mentality.
It should be noted that according to a Russian-Ukrainian treaty signed in 2010, Moscow has an agreed and constant military presence in the Crimean peninsula. Russia pays Ukraine $97.75 million annually for use of the naval base in Sevastopol. The treaty underpins Russia’s right to bolster personnel in the Crimea to up to 25,000 troops.
Hillary should have mentioned the above fact. And if this is the case then why don’t we reference where all in the world the U.S. has constant, convenient military presence.
The US Military has bases in 63 countries. Brand new military bases have been built since September 11, 2001 in seven countries.
In total, there are 255,065 US military personnel deployed Worldwide.
These facilities include a total of 845,441 different buildings and equipments. The underlying land surface is of the order of 30 million acres. According to Gelman, who examined 2005 official Pentagon data, the US is thought to own a total of 737 bases in foreign lands. Adding to the bases inside U.S. territory, the total land area occupied by US military bases domestically within the US and internationally is of the order of 2,202,735 hectares, which makes the Pentagon one of the largest landowners worldwide (Gelman, J., 2007).

The way we antagonize nations and blatantly roll over their laws and power structures when we stomp in is unbelievable. Of course it is sold to the general population as ‘fighting to liberate the oppressed’, giving ‘democracy’ to the world! HA! What goes around comes around as they say…
Better yet, lets talk about Iraq. Daddy Bush’s biggest erotic fantasy was to invade and control Iraq. Funny enough, the first thing Baby Bush does is invade Iraq. But first he needed a reason. What better reason than an attack on the American people. Thus, on September 11, 2001 we all went to work and were shocked with the news of an ATTACK on the U.S. Funny though, multiple professionals have given evidence that the buildings came down in a classic demolition scheme. Multiple witnesses saw ‘explosions’ or heard explosions. International media was broadcasting the event before it even happened. There are endless sources proving the attacks on 9/11 were nothing more than government sponsored terrorism to put it bluntly. With this action, the U.S. government coaxed the exact response they needed out of the people. The government threw out a name, Bin Laden and like hungry dogs everyone ran for it. But wait. If Bin Laden was in Pakistan what were we doing in IRAQ. And why all the SECRECY surrounding his death? Sure these things are all central to a conspiracy but if that is what it was by any other name it will smell as sweet.
But moving on. So we blow up the towers and then somehow Iraq appears on the scene and they have, “drum-roll please” WMD. The big talk about WMD and huh, there were NONE to be found…
Why don’t we talk about the common denominator in almost all U.S. initiated or FUNDED wars…
Now that we have that fact established we can move on. Did you know that oil was a factor in Vietnam too?
How about in Iraq, Libya, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan.. oh wait, no Afghanistan supplies the US DRUG TRADE. There is a “War on Drugs” you say? No… More like a WAR on WHO WILL RUN THOSE DRUGS… Your tax money is paying for US troops to guard poppy fields there!
Get used to it fellow Americans because unless we rise up and REVOLT this country will turn into Nazi Germany before our eyes.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me–and there was no one left to speak for me.
The Patriot Act, SOPA, PIPA, TSA, DHS, gun-control, beefed-up law enforcement, massive stockpiling of ammo by government entities, all these activities lead straight to the development of a Fascist government. At which point we need not worry about how China, Russia or North Korea are run but whether or not they would come to defend OUR rights. If any country did to ours what we have done to theirs, WWIII would have broken out years ago. Greed and power don’t create a peaceful planet. Peace and love for humanity and the earth do.
We need to stand up for our rights and return this country, to a country of values, integrity, and pride. What pride can we have when internationally we are spat upon as hypocritics and self-righteous bastards! Can we blame them? No, because actions speak louder than words. Right now, the world is going through massive upheavals. Protests are erupting, our civil liberties are being trampled upon yet the US citizens still sit on their hands, content to get fat and lazy on their couches while the corruption spreads. It has not yet knocked on everyone’s door but that day of reckoning will come and you will wish you had not remained silent!
POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
